A fresh equilibrium of balance, tannins and acidity. Intense on the nose with hints of red ripened cherries, leather, blackberries, tobacco and an earthy aftertaste. Best to be enjoyed with good company and hearty food!

Producer Profile
Our vineyards are located in the Monferrato area, one of the historical wine territories in Piedmont The production of our wines is based on low yields and on a scrupulous selection of the grapes. Winemaking is characterized by long macerations (i.e. by contact with the peel, also for the polite), by the use of indigenous yeasts, by a very limited use of sulfur dioxide and by the exclusion of other additives. Refinement occurs mainly in large wood. The sandy soils of Gamalero in Monferrato are located in a plateau where the continental climate is characterized by great heat during the day, while the nights are cooler. The wines are born powerful and concentrated for low yields; the long macerations also give them rusticity, but then the weather, thanks to the sandy soils, gives them a surprising finesse.- Tenuta Grillo.
